Panera is ready for summer with the perfect lobster offerings

Sometimes you just need a trip to Panera to make your day brighter. And this summer, they are going all out with their lobster offerings.

When it comes to heading to Panera, I am pretty boring. I want my fuji apple chicken salad and a half sandwich (steak and cheese please). And in the winter, I might splurge on a broccoli and cheddar soup in a bread bowl. But whenever I see lobster on a menu, I have to check it out.

And luckily for fellow lobster lovers, this summer Panera is once again making magic happen. In fact, one of their returning lobster dishes is perfect for a foodie holiday that falls on July 14: National Mac & Cheese Day!

So what are our lobster menu items that are making summer fun at Panera?

Panera adds two lobster dishes to the menu for summer

According to the press email we received on behalf of the restaurant chain,

"Just in time for summer Panera is bringing back TWO customer-favorite, seasonal menu items: the Lobster Roll and Lobster Mac & Cheese."

There is an important caveat to this news however. It turns out that these menu items will only be available in approximately 200 locations, with most of them being in the northeastern US.

However, if you are lucky enough to be near a Panera location that has lobster on the menu, these are the two dishes you can choose from:

"The mouthwatering Lobster Mac & Cheese features Panera’s beloved velvety smooth Vermont White Cheddar Macaroni and Cheese topped with buttered claw & knuckle lobster meat and seasoned Panko® bread crumbs (And just in time for National Mac and Cheese day on 7/14!)Panera’s Lobster Roll features lobster claw and knuckle meat, tossed in a lemon tarragon mayonnaise-based dressing, piled high into a New England Roll."

I don’t know about you, but I need to make a trip to Panera as soon as possible. It’s been a while and I think these lobster offerings might just change that. (Then again, maybe it’s just an excuse to get my hands on the iconic fuji apple chicken salad.)
