This week, the self-taught and the professionally-trained bakers are merging to compete against one another on Crime Scene Kitchen. Will the self-taught bakers be owned by the pros? Considering how not-great most of the pros have been, it’s hard to imagine, but who knows? But the real question is: which of the remaining teams is going to win the whole show?

Let’s take a look at the self-taught bakers first. I am very biased toward T and Fadi as I have followed them from their season of Great Chocolate Showdown. While they haven’t been the best as detectives so far this season, they have shown they are willing to learn. Also, as shown by Curtis’s reaction every time he tastes their food, they know how to make a good dessert. They also have the best reactions to everything, and my emotional state cannot handle them being kicked off the show.

Steph and Sin Yi definitely have the detective work down, but based on their past bakes… their flavors need some work if they are going to win. While this show is about the clues, Curtis and Yolanda care about the flavor.

As for Kristy and Tarsha, they are kind of in the middle for me. I could see them winning, but I also think the clues could trip them up as well.

On to the professional bakers! If I have to pick a winner from the professional bakers, it has to be Amber and Yassmeen. The way they guessed that floral cut-out cake last week…that was some legendary behavior right there! If anyone on the pros’ side is winning, it’s them.

While Sherry and Sally won the Safety Bake last week, I would die if these twins won. The ears and the twin nonsense they pulled at the beginning of the season were just too much for me to want them to win.

As for Laissa and Camille, they definitely have the skills to win, but I don’t know if they have the confidence to go with their gut and make the right desserts every time. I could see them winning, but they have to get their anxiety under control (easier said than done, I know!) and do what they do best.
