Mount Gay Rum introduces Après the Day Summer Series 2023

Mount Gay Rum is making sure you have a reason to celebrate even if it’s only for a few days this summer.

The brand introduced its new Aprés The Day Summer Series and the focus is on having fun along with embracing the summer season. While most of us are stuck at work, we can still spend our time, enjoying some refreshing beverages.

The series doesn’t just focus on one thing, though. There are a handful of different experiences if you’re able to visit a pop-up or if you’re staying at home with a cocktail kit featuring some goodies from Mount Gay Rum.

Regardless of which camp you’re in, Mount Gay Rum will have you covered with a new experience within the Aprés The Day Summer Series.

Let’s start off with the pop-ups from Mount Gay Rum as I’m sure these won’t be accessible to everyone. The brand has its Mobile Rum Shop which is pop-up experience for fans of the brand with the first stop being August 4th and 5th in the Hamptons at the Montauk Yacht Club but now it’s coming to the West Coast on August 10th. As shared by the brand, “The one-of-a-kind experience will then head to Los Angeles on August 10 at Belles Beach House from 3pm-8pm PST.” While there, you can enjoy some drinks, snacks and even get a chance to win some fun items.

If you’re not on the West Coast or just enjoy staying home, you can now order a Après the Day Cocktail Kit. The brand shared what you can get in each kit: “Beginning today through August 19, the limited-edition “Après the Day Cocktail Kit” will be available on Cocktail Courier for $69.99 SRP, offering summer essentials to enjoy post-beach, after a sailing excursion or while catching up with friends. Each kit features ingredients to mix up delicious Barbados Peach Tea cocktails, including Mount Gay Eclipse, along with a customized City Bonfire and smore’s kit with a Nutella twist to complement Mount Gay Eclipses’ tasting notes.” I don’t know about you, but I love all of those things so it sounds heavenly.

As you can see, the company is working hard to make sure everyone has a chance to enjoy their summer.

Since I shared all of that important info, I wanted to end off with a cocktail recipe made from Mount Gay Rum. It’s called the Barbados Peach Tea. For it, you’ll need 2 ounces of Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, 0.5 ounces of lemon juice, 4 ounces of peach tea and then, a lemon peel or slice to garnish your drink with. I’m sharing the full recipe below if you’re planning to make it at home.

• Begin by preparing your garnish by either using a peeler to create a lemon peel garnish or cut your lemon into slices. Juice the remaining lemon and set aside.
• Measure and add Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, Lemon Juice and Peach Tea to your glass.
• Top it off with ice and stir.
• Garnish with lemon peel or slice.
