Pret Hudson Yards offers free lunch for grand opening

Pret is making sure everyone can feel the love. That’s doubly true if you’re at the new Hudson Yards location.

The brand is expanding into New York with a location at 20 Hudson Yards, Level 4 (near Edge entrance.) The location is opening its door on August 10th and will be giving away something special in honor of that.

Since Pret is doing its grand opening, the chain is going to be serving free lunch after the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sounds like a pretty amazing deal if you’re going to be around and could help you get a taste of what Pret’s cooking up.

Pret is giving away free lunch for its grand opening in Hudson Yards!

We’ll get into what Pret is in just a second but the brand shared the press release and gave us what you need to know: “Following the ribbon cutting ceremony at 11 AM on Thursday, Pret will be giving away free lunch to 150 guests on a first come, first served basis. Customers can choose one of Pret’s fan-favorite sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, or salad recipes and one Barista-prepared drink while supplies last.” All in all, it sounds like a tasty free lunch which we can’t complain about.

If you’re unable to make the ribbon-cutting ceremony, you can head there Monday-Saturday from 9am to 7:30 pm and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm. This is the first of three locations coming to NYC which are headed there this fall. If you’re able to, I’m sure it’s worth popping in if only to check it out.

However, if you’re looking to eat or drink, there are plenty of options. The chain has coffee drinks of all kinds including hot and iced varieties. There is also hot and iced chocolate and iced tea, and currently, there are some seasonal flavors of lemonades, black tea, and green tea. The pictures shared on the website make them look incredibly refreshing.

If you’re looking for food, you can order breakfast sandwiches, pastries, oatmeal, and even power bowls to get you started in the morning. For lunch and dinner, Pret has sandwiches, wraps, salads, soup, and mac n cheese. For those with a sweet tooth, Pret has cake, cookies, and muffins to pair with your favorite drink.

Even though I’ve never heard of Pret until now, I’m incredibly jealous of those who are at the grand opening. Everything sounds delicious so if you’re attending, you’ll have to let us know how the food is and if it’s worth the trip.
