It is officially Pumpkin Spice Latte season at Starbucks, and while we love a good PSL, we are here for the new menu items as well.

Not only did Starbucks introduce the new Baked Apple Croissant, but there is also a new drink on the menu as well. For 2023 they introduced the new Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte.

Recently, we had the chance to try this new seasonal Chai Tea Latte, because our local Starbucks was actually offering samples for customers to try when they visited in the afternoon. And we are so glad we had a chance to sample this latte for ourselves.

Is the Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Tea Latte from Starbucks worth ordering?

When it comes to the Fall drinks from Starbucks, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew has been our go to beverage since it was first introduced in 2019. And now, they may be giving the seasonal cold brew a run for its money.

The magic of this Chai Tea Latte is definitely in the addition of the Pumpkin Cream. This is like taking the best part of the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew (the pumpkin cream obviously) and adding it to the already delicious Chai Tea Latte. Perhaps the only real concern is the level of sweetness.

This particular latte is bold in flavor, but also extremely sweet. As the Starbucks press release describes this beverage, “This creamy chai tea latte pairs a rich blend of spiced chai notes with pumpkin cream cold foam and a dusting of pumpkin spice.”

It really is a simple creation, but one that really delivers on amazing flavors. The only problem is that it is absolutely not diabetic-friendly. And honestly, since the Chai Tea Latte isn’t either, we weren’t that surprised.

Honestly, I really enjoyed the flavor profile with this drink. It was creamy and warm, with the perfect hint of Fall spice. However, this is definitely one of those drinks I would only order in a small, as anything larger would be too much.

If you love pumpkin and the classic Chai Tea Latte at Starbucks, this is definitely a drink you’ll want to try this Fall.
