Playa Bowls is helping Maui in the midst of wildfires
Everyone knows about the devastating effects of the Maui Wildfires and Playa Bowls is stepping up.
The deadly wildfires that swept Maui are still being discussed now. It’s a shame to see so many lives being lost along with all the nature now destroyed. Frankly, it’s something we can’t get back and that’s always a hard loss.
That’s why it’s nice to see Playa Bowls deciding to fundraise to help out Maui in its time of need and it makes a lot of sense. The company was formed by two surfers: Abby Taylor and Rob Giuliani who were looking to recreate the delicious acai and pitaya bowls they had eaten in places in Hawaii.
If you’re headed to Playa Bowls this fall, then you might consider donating while you’re in there.
Heading to Playa Bowls this fall? Then consider donating to help Maui!
While it might not seem like much, Playa Bowls is working to make sure Maui is supplied with as much food and supplies as they can give. As shared via a statement from the brand: “Hosting an Instagram and in-shop fundraiser for Maui Food Bank Inc. during September. Customers can donate in-shop at a register or via Playa Bowls’ Instagram fundraiser. Playa Bowls will be matching up to $25K.” Whether you’re near or far, you’ll be able to make a difference.
This couldn’t come at a more perfect time for fans of the restaurant as the brand recently announced its fall menu items. Why wouldn’t you want to go in and grab something flavorful while giving back to help Maui? I know that if I lived near Playa Bowls, I’d be making sure to try these new fall additions and help Maui.
Of course, that’s up to you, but considering the connection the brand has to Maui, I think it’s worth at least looking at. Plus you’ll get something good for you and be able to help others which is always the goal.
