Everyone has a favorite product from Kraft and some swear by their salad dressings. That’s why it’s awesome to see Kraft sharing this data.

Entitled “America’s Flavor-ite Dressings,” Kraft created a graphic to share the favorite dressings all over the United States. With 50 states, there’s sure to be some overlap and some dressings that are favored over others.

Whether you’re looking at your state or one you’ve lived in previously, you might be surprised by which dressing reigned supreme and which ones were loved regionally in comparison. All in all, it’s fun to look at the states separated by their favorite salad dressings.

I’d like to thank Kraft for providing the graphic and allowing me to share this data with you because it’s surprising.

As promised, I’m going to be featuring the graphic below, but I wanted to talk about how Kraft got these numbers. The brand explained: “took a state-by-state look at which dressings each state purchased the most relative to the national average – or what sells better in that state than anywhere else.” With that being said, let’s break down the graphic!

I’m sure this one won’t come as any surprise, but Ranch was the top dressing in 14 states, making it the highest one. However, it’s most popular in the Southeast while Classic Catalina is a favorite in the Midwest and Northeast. Meanwhile, the Southwest enjoys Raspberry Vingarette and the Northwest is a fan of Thousand Island.

Frankly, I figured Ranch would be more popular overall. 14 states is nothing to be mad at but honestly, it’s lower than I thought. Given how much discourse there is about Ranch and everyone’s love for it, it’s shocking.

Regardless, I can see why some ended up being winners especially Zesty Italian. As someone who is a Pennsylvania resident, that one doesn’t surprise me. All in all, I think it’s fun to see a breakdown this way and see just how beloved each dressing is per state.
