Let’s start off with the #1 favorite and most beloved pancake topping which is butter and honestly, I’m a little shocked by this. I do know that a lot of people enjoy butter on their pancakes yet maple syrup seems like the obvious choice. Then again, that melted butter always tends to make the pancakes even better as evidenced by the 27 states who enjoy it.
Maybe maple syrup isn’t considered a topping. Either way, strawberries took second place which was the work of seven states. Then in five states, chocolate chips were the preferred topping. That’s not the only fun pancake data that was shared with us as we’ve also got the top three states devouring pancakes.
Once again, I feel this might be surprising yet Mississippi ended up at the top of the list with people eating pancakes seven times a month. Followed by that is Utah at five times a month and tying with Utah was West Virginia. Regardless of which state you’re in, there is no denying that a tasty stack of pancakes is always a delight and something to be enjoyed on National Pancake Day or otherwise.
