7 top Logan’s Roadhouse menu items you need to try
More than just a steakhouse, Logan’s Roadhouse has a lot to offer in terms of menu items and today we’ll be taking a look at 7 of the absolute best.
Logan’s Roadhouse was founded back in 1991 and although they are currently based out of beautiful Houston, Texas, they got their start back in Lexington, Kentucky.
The restaurant was founded by Dave Wachtel and Charles F. McWhorter and currently there are 135 Logan’s locations in the United States alone, and they can proudly boast of $537 million in revenue as per Wikipedia, and all that despite a limited range of locations.
They don’t just serve steak. Read on to see just how many original dishes you can expect when stopping by a Logan’s Roadhouse
But if you’ve been lucky enough to stop by one of the said locations then you know that they have a lot more to boast about than just their aforementioned revenue. So why dawdle? Let’s get to the food, shall we?

7. Roadhouse ’Shrooms
As you’ll see as you read on, the menu items at Logan’s aren’t your tired old hits. Yes, they do have chicken tenders and wings, but they offer a different variety that makes them stand out as an original establishment, going that extra mile to show patrons that they’ve put in that effort to be original.
And really these items speak for themselves. These mushrooms specifically, are a perfect example of just that and are delicious as well as different. They are hand-battered and the horseradish dipping sauce takes them to that limit we never want to come back from.
6. Chopped Steak
Not your average steak, this piece of beef is indeed chopped and placed over some creamy mashed potatoes and the clincher here is the gravy that is topped over the works. Really a hearty meal that you’ll definitely order more than once, dear readers.
5. Logan’s Wood-Grilled Chicken
The best chicken dish at this chain and really the best piece of grilled chicken you’re likely to get anywhere. This one comes with rice and really, if you’re looking to keep the inches off the waist, grilled chicken is the way to go, and why not choose the best-tasting grilled chicken you can find? Well, if you’re looking, it’s at Logan’s Roadhouse.
4. Grilled Meatloaf
This is yet another example of that difference from your run-of-the-mill stuff. I mean a lot of places offer meatloaf and perhaps mashed potatoes and peas, but here at Logan’s they grill your piece of meatloaf!! It’s the little things like that that can often make the most difference.
3. Peach Cobbler
I had to do it, dear readers…had to have at least one dessert menu item, and really the peach cobbler is impeccable. Cobbler as a whole is always a great dessert option, and really, it can be any fruit, but peach just hits different.
A close second is of course blueberry, but man oh man is this peach cobbler special. Try it next time you hit a Logan’s Roadhouse if you haven’t already. And if you have, you know.
We can look at each other across a crowded room, you and I, and we can be total strangers, but we can nod at each other, the knowledge of this cobbler being a secret we share across our two dimensions in this world and share a smile in the knowing of its existence. Oh yeah, it’s that good.
2. Surf & Turf Trio
Readers who have read my work know how special a surf and turf dish is to me, and usually this dish would make the number one spot, but not this time. I mean number two is a spectacular spot and this dish right here has all the works necessary to make it a contender but not necessarily the champ.
This one comes with 6 oz. of sirloin, two delicious Logan’s crispy crab cakes, and the piece de résistance, some mesquite-grilled shrimp … and the side, their delicious rice.
1. Country-Fried Steak
This one here is a rarity in the northern United States and Canada, but in the south it’s a pretty common dish. In Texas, they call it chicken-fried steak, but country-fried steak is also a name this dish goes by, but in the end, it’s all the same.
The steak is breaded or rather battered, fried in a pan and topped with white pepper gravy. A meal that hits hard and satisfies for sure.
Now dear readers, any of you that have been to Logan’s know full well that I missed quite a few items…great pasta dishes, ribs, salads, sandwiches and burgers, and yes they’re all good, but today was just a glimpse of the greatest menu items offered at Logan’s Roadhouse.
But what are some of your favorite items at Logan’s Roadhouse, dear readers? Let us know.
