Selena Gomez heading to Food Network for the Holidays
By D. Goodman
For four seasons superstar Selena Gomez has been entertaining foodies everywhere with her hit cooking series Selena + Chef. Each episode a different chef teaches Gomez how to prepare a new and exciting dish. At the end of each episode, the show donates $10,000 to a charity of the chef’s choice.
The series premiered during the pandemic and so the chef who was working with Selena Gomez was teaching her remotely via Zoom. Regardless, the list of food personalities who have worked with Gomez reads like a who’s who of the culinary world.
Selena + Chef has won numerous awards and has been a huge hit for Max. And it’s easy to see why. Gomez is charming and just plain fun to watch as she learns how to prepare a new dish and learn along the way. In fact, it has become such a hit that the series is making the jump to Food Network this November.
Selena Gomez and Selena + Chef premiere on Food Network on November 30.
Food Network has announced that Selena Gomez will be teaming up with four superstar chefs for four brand new specials they are calling Selena + Chef: Home for the Holidays. The series will celebrate the Christmas season as she learns to prepare a quartet of brand new holiday dishes.
Joining Gomez will be Eric Adjepong, Alex Guarnaschelli, Michael Symon, and Claudette Zepeda, all very well known to fans of Food Network. And each show is not skimping on the holiday cheer as they make traditional and not so traditional dishes.
- Selena + Alex will see Guarnaschelli and Gomez make a roast beef and “Chantilly” mashed potatoes in prepreration for a tree-trimming party.
- Selena + Michael sees Symon help prepare a Surf and Turf Christmas meal as he and Selena take on steaks and lobster.

- Selena + Eric brings Adjepong to the kitchen to help Gomez get ready for New Year’s with a brunch that includes Shrimp and Banana Grits as well as Malva Pudding.
The series will also feature guest stars galore including Gomez’s entire family. For her part, Gomez sounds pretty excited about the new opportunity.
"“The holidays have always meant so much to me. It was an honor to have these amazing chefs in my kitchen to introduce some of their favorite foods and what makes the holidays special for them.”"
