While The Great British Baking Show has become a beloved and treasured part of foodie culture, the same unfortunately can’t be said about The Great American Baking Show. The series has seen its fair share of ups and downs over the years.

From incredibly low ratings to scandals involving the judges (and we’re talking way more than a soggy bottom) that resulted in Season 3 not even getting to finish airing, the American version of Bake Off has had a rough time of it.

That began to change with Season 6 when the series moved to the popular streaming service Roku. Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith both joined the series as judges and new hosts Ellie Kemper and Zach Cherry kept things light and entertaining.

Now Roku has announced that the show is returning just in time for the Christmas season. And it’s bringing six celebrities along for the ride. That’s right foodies. The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday is back.

The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday arrives on November 10.

The series sees six celebrities compete for the chance to be named Star Baker and receive the coveted Star Baker apron. They will compete in three bakes which should be very familiar to Bake Off fans by now: the Signature Challenge, the Technical Challenge and last but not least, the Showstopper Challenge.

For the new special Kemper is out and the tent is welcoming new co-host Casey Wilson. Both Hollywood and Leith will be returning as well, looking for under baked cakes and less then impressive flavors.

Of course, as with any celebrity edition of Bake Off, things are far less serious as humor and fun are the order of the day. Which can make for a really enjoyable way to get geared up for the holiday season.

The Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday will be available to stream for free on The Roku Channel as well as various other streaming devices starting Friday, November 10.
