When it comes to ice cream shakes and fast food, few can hold a candle to Sonic and their iconinc Blasts. Sure, Wendy’s has the Frosty but that only comes in one flavor and at McDonald’s you’re lucky if the milkshake machine is working at all.

No, the only place that can compete with a Sonic Blast is Dairy Queen and their Blizzards, but Dairy Queen is a ice cream place first and foremost so of course they have an edge. In the world of fast food? Nothing can compete with a Blast from Sonic.

Which is why fans are sure to be excited to hear that Sonic has announced the return of their popular Trick or Treat Blasts for the 2023 Halloween season. And not only that, they have given them a compete makeover for the occasion.

Trick or Treat Blasts will be available at Sonic until December 31.

The new and improved Trick or Treat Blasts come in two different flavors for you to enjoy.

First up is the Vanilla Trick or Treat Blast. It includes vanill;a soft serve ice cream mixed with Heath, M&Ms as well as Oreo cookie pieces. Then there is the Chocolate Trick or Treat Blast which includes vanilla soft serve ice cream mixed with chocolate syrup, Heath, M&Ms and Oreo cookie pieces.

But wait! There’s more! Sonic has also revealed a trio of new additions to the everyday Blast menu for fans to try. They include:

  • The Sonic Blast made with Heath includes Heath bar pieces and milk chocolate mixed with vanilla soft serve ice cream and topped with more Heath pieces.
  • The Turtle Truffle Nut Blast includes praline toasted almonds and caramel filled truffles blended with vanilla soft serve and topped with more truffles.
  • The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blast should be self explanatory but it includes chocolate chip cookie dough pieces mixed with vanilla soft serve and topped with, you guessed it, more cookie dough pieces.

If I was Dairy Queen, I’d watch my back because it sure seems like Sonic is coming for you. The Trick or Treat Blasts are now available at all locations nationwide until December 31.
