Firebirds Wood Fired Grill: A Sizzling New Addition to Murfreesboro, TN

Nestled in the heart of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, along the bustling Medical Center Parkway, Firebirds Woodfired Grill beams with the promise of an exquisite, upscale dining experience. Upon entering, guests are greeted by stunning interior decor and the delightful aroma of a wood-fired grill spreading through the air.  Just days before their grand opening on Monday, October 2nd, my sister and I had the privilege of attending their exclusive soft opening on Saturday, September 30th.  Leaving a lasting impression, I’ve never experienced fine dining like this

Delectable Appetizers and Refreshing Beverages

First things first, let’s start with appetizers and alcohol! We kicked off our meal with the Philly cheese steak egg rolls as our appetizer. They were generously filled with incredibly fresh and flavorful meat, offering just the right touch of spice. The Thai chili and hot mustard sauce took the flavor to another level, making it a memorable start to our dining experience.

As for drinks, first, the Double Black Diamond Martini made with fresh pineapple, New Amsterdam Pineapple Vodka, and topped with a pineapple slice makes you feel like you’re on a tropical island. The vodka had a bite but went down smoothly.  Pairing it with pineapple gives it the perfect balance and was a delightful choice, but the Lemon Drop Martini surpassed our expectations, delivering an even more exquisite flavor.

If you like lemonade the Lemonade Drop is the cocktail for you made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Alex’s Fresh Lemonade, but don’t let the sweetness fool you, this drink will give you a buzz.  The Double Black Diamond Martini was a delightful choice, but the Lemonade Drop surpassed our expectations, delivering an even more exquisite flavor.

The Main Event: Irresistible Entrees and mouthwatering desserts

My sister ordered their signature dish, the slow-roasted prime rib encrusted with fresh herbs and peppers with homemade horseradish sauce and au jus gravy on the side.  I opted for the Baja shrimp pasta.  Most restaurants I’ve been to serve popcorn shrimp on top of the pasta, but at Firebirds the shrimp were Jumbo and not just on top but throughout the dish.

Now that we’ve gone over the drinks, appetizers, and entrees there’s one thing left.  A meal isn’t complete without dessert.  The temptations are crème brulee cheesecake, chocolate brownie, Big Daddy Chocolate Cake, Carrot Cake, and 5-layer lemon cake.   Our choice is the 5-layer lemon cake. Topped with fresh blueberries.  The cake is so soft and moist you don’t have to chew because it melts in your mouth literally.

Final Thoughts

The service was truly exceptional, with an impeccable wait staff attending to our every need. The restaurant itself boasted a spacious, warm, and inviting atmosphere, creating the perfect setting for an enjoyable dining experience.   One distinctive aspect was that the food was prepared right in front of us in an open kitchen, adding to the transparency and excitement of the dining experience.
