BRISTOL, UNITED KINGDOM - JULY 27: The McDonald's logo is seen above a restaurant on July 27, 2022 in Bristol, England. McDonald’s has announced that the price of a cheeseburger will increase for the first time in 14 years blaming soaring costs and said other big price increases were on the horizon. The increases come as the UK faces a cost of living crisis, as inflation hits a near-30-year high, the war in Ukraine puts pressure on food prices and rising energy bills squeeze household incomes still further. To add to the misery, many UK households face a further rises in home energy prices as energy price caps are raised. (Photo by Matt Cardy/Getty Images)

It was a couple weeks ago that we here at Guilty Eats Central revealed that McDonald’s was going to bring back their iconic and immensely popular Happy Meal Boo Buckets for a second year. The plastic buckets returned last Halloween and were a huge hit with just about everyone.

For Year Two, McDonald’s added a fourth option with each bucket having a distinct color and design. And just like when they were offered in the past, when you’re done eating your Happy Meal the bucket is perfect for trick or treating or keeping your candy in.

However, not everyone loves plastic. And if we’re being honest, while the Boo Buckets look amazing, they’re not exactly the best choice for gathering candy from the neighbors on Halloween. Only if someone could came up with another option.

Oh wait. They did. In Canada.

McDonald’s Boo Bucket Tote Bags are now available at McDonald’s in Canada.

Leave to the fine folks of the Great White North to embrace an idea so simple and obvious that American Boo Bucket fans are left with our collective mouths hanging open.

McDonald’s Canada has taken the four Boo Bucket designs and transformed them into tote bags. They look identical to the classic plastic versions but there are made of cloth and are literally perfect for trick or treating.

And the best part? One will only set you back $3 with a dollar of that going to Ronald McDonald House Charities. So you get to help those that need it and walk around with a seriously cool Halloween tote bag. What more could you want?

Why these aren’t available in America is beyond me, but hopefully that will change next year. Because there are plenty of folks who would love to get their hands on one of these.
