Chipotle has announced the return of the Boorito

It was 23 years ago that Chipotle, the overwhelming fast casual choice of Millennials and Gen Z, first introduced the Boorito deal. In the decades since it has become almost as much a part of Halloween as The Great Pumpkin and Michael Myers.

Since the earliest days of the Boorito it has always meant that on Halloween night that you could get a special deal or discount at your local Chipotle. Sometimes that meant going into your local franchise in costume, usually inspired by a burrito.

Over the years the Boorito has evolved with the customers. The burrito-themed costumes have given way to using the chain’s app to qualify for a free menu item or a discount on your order. Which is exactly what they are doing this year, but with a new twist.

The Boorito Deal will only be available at Chipotle on Halloween night until close.

So here’s the way the 2023 edition of the Boorito will work. On October 31, aka Halloween, from 3 PM until close, you can get a free $6 entree if you use the promo code BOORITO in the Chipotle app or online.

That’s right. You get a free menu entree just for typing the word Boorito into your phone. There are precious few Halloween deals that you will find that are nearly as good.

But there’s more. If you live near one of the 53 Chipotle locations that are located in or near college towns, you can get your Boorito Deal even later. Because those locations will be staying open until midnight on Halloween.

And it gets even better. If you are one of the first 100 digital orders that are placed between 10 PM and midnight at any of those 53 locations you will get a an exclusive bottle of Tabasco Scorpion Sauce. The new hot sauce is making its debut at Chipotle just in time for Halloween.

All in all, it looks like Chipotle is trying to make this year’s Boorito Deal one of the most memorable ones they’ve ever offered. Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer, is well aware of how important it has become over the years.

So fire up your app and get ready for a Boorito that foodies should love.
