Kitchen Nightmares is all about helping turn around failing restaurants. And based on just a few minutes of “The Juicy Box,” we know they need help.

In fact, when Ramsay shows up at The Juicy Box to get the Kitchen Nightmares experience started, they are not even open for business yet. And this leads to him taking a walk around the neighborhood for hours. (He arrived at around 8 a.m. and didn’t come back until 2 p.m.)

When he sits down to order, he lets his server pick his drink first and it not only takes a while, but it turns out that the juicer is broken so he gets a smoothie version instead. And then he learns that a few different dishes are out of stock so he can’t order those either.

After placing his order, then the dishes that he ordered get sent to a different table because the back of house is not paying attention. And then a fight in the kitchen can be heard in the dining room, which leads to Gordon Ramsay stepping back to see if they need help and actually grabbing his own appetizer from the kitchen.

It’s not just the kitchen that is struggling and arguing with each other, as they are even fighting behind the bar as well. And according to dad, who started the business and handed it over to his son, they only have about 60 days left before they have to shut the doors of this restaurant.

So this is a true Kitchen Nightmare. But what is Gordon Ramsay in for when it comes to dinner service?

Right away we have an issue as one table received their entree before they even got their appetizer. And it took over 20 minutes to happen. Then another table got a dish without the grilled chicken it was supposed to because a server didn’t add it to the ticket.

And then we get the walk in cooler experience and this nightmare goes from bad to worse. The cooler hasn’t worked in at least six months and things are disgusting, as it is actually 74 degrees inside, instead of actually being cold.

The Juicy Box needs a lot of help and that is exactly why Kitchen Nightmares is there. And Gordon Ramsay has a lot of work to do to make the restaurant a success moving forward. Part of that plan includes getting the restaurant opened at 7 a.m. every day in order to actually capitalize on what they were once known for, their juice bar.

The entire kitchen gets a cleaning and a refresh, and of course they get a new juicer to make the magic happen. Of course, there is also a fresh menu to go along with that refresh.

Now it is time for the restaurant to get their fresh start. And their relaunch was beautiful. Clearly the team at the Juicy Box embraced their relaunch and the chance for a new beginning.

In the follow up two months later, the Juicy Box is clearly thriving and striving for success.
