There are always certain benchmarks that signify the start of the holidays. Elf and Home Alone start almost nonstop airings on cable. Food Network is suddenly overflowing with holiday baking competitions. And of course, Wawa announces the return of all things related to the Gobbler.
For those unlucky enough to not have a Wawa near them (or God forbid live near a Sheetz) the Gobbler is their ode to all things Thanksgiving dinner. It takes everything you love about the holiday, puts it on a fresh hoagie roll and serves it up to a waiting public.
However, what used to be just a single sandwich has now expanded into a a whole menu of Gobbler options. And with Thanksgiving quickly approaching, they are all back on the menu for your feasting pleasure.
The Wawa Hot Turkey Gobbler Hoagie is back on the menu for a limited time.
As we mentioned above, the Gobbler is now more then just a simple hoagie. Wawa now has four ways you can enjoy a hot Thanksgiving dinner without all the hassle of having to cook one.
First is the Hot Gobbler with Mashed Potato, which includes hot turkey topped with mashed potatoes and your choice of cheese and fixings all on a hoagie roll. The Hot Turkey in Gravy is essentially the same thing but swap out the mashed potatoes for rich gravy.
Next is the iconic Hot Gobbler with Stuffing and Cranberry that started it all. It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like and includes hot turkey topped with stuffing and cranberry sauce with your choice of cheese and fixings on a toasted hoagie roll.
Finally there is the classic Hot Turkey Gobbler Bowl, which ditches the hoagie roll for an easier to eat and portable bowl to which you can add smoked bacon, caramelized onions and roasted veggies.
All four Gobbler options are now available at Wawa locations everywhere but only for a limited time, because once the holidays are over, so is Gobbler season.
