This is truly where the fun begins as we’re talking about some Taco Bell items I’d like to see returned and it’s all specialty items. Essentially, this is everything that’s been on the menu that isn’t a dessert or a taco. Either way, there is a handful I love and want to see return along with some popular ones that I’ve seen talked about a lot. This is a longer list so I won’t waste any time.

5. The Meximelt

If there’s one Taco Bell I hear the entire fandom talking about, it’s the Meximelt. This one was never on my radar. Regardless, I feel like a lot of fans of the franchise would be upset if I didn’t include it so it’s going on my list.

This was introduced in the late 80s and was removed from the menu in 2018. It was a cross between a quesadilla and a taco. The Meximelt was made of a tortilla, seasoned ground beef, fiesta salsa, and a three-cheese blend. I can see why it was so beloved and a favorite among fans because that’s a pretty solid lineup.

6. Loaded Grillers

The specialty item I miss dearly is easily Taco Bell’s Loaded Grillers. These came in 3 different flavors and were only 0.99 cents. I wish they’d come back with that price point, but I doubt something like that will ever happen again. Either way, these were absolutely delightful.

You could enjoy Beefy Nacho Loaded Griller which featured ground beef, nacho cheese, and red strips. Then there was the Loaded Bufflao Chicken Griller which featured spicy chicken and sour cream. Finally, my favorite of the bunch was the Loaded Potato Griller which was potatoes, nacho cheese, sour cream, and bacon bits. Ultimately, these were delicious and all grilled to perfection, making them a quick and easy meal.

7. Triple Melt Nachos

Let’s make Taco Bell cheap and affordable again. One of my favorite menu items has always been nachos. The one I enjoyed most was the Triple Melt Nachos as it was simple yet delicious. This was a small plate of chips topped with ground beef, nacho cheese, and then a blend of cheeses to finish it off. If I recall correctly, these were only $1.00 so what’s not to love?

8. The Beefy Potato-rito

This one is essentially a mix of two loaded grillers and it was another favorite. However, Taco Bell took it away from us so it had to make the cut on my list. This was a burrito filled with potatoes, ground beef, shredded cheese, nacho cheese, and chipotle sauce. All of this came together to make an absolutely unmatched combination and I’m STILL salty it’s gone. What’s worse is that Taco Bell still has all the items to make it yet they haven’t brought it back. Hopefully, we’ll see the return of it eventually.
