10 Taco Bell items we wish the chain would bring back!
No meal is complete without dessert and the same can be said for Taco Bell. While the chain has featured some awesome dessert items in the past, they rarely stick around. Due to that, I almost made this list a little longer. However, there’s already been a lot of ground to cover so I just wanted to spotlight two Taco Bell dessert items I’d love to see come back.
9. Caramel Apple Empanada
First up is the Caramel Apple Empanada. This was honestly one I remember my mom getting all the time and enjoying. These were also relatively cheap and such a unique offering in the fast-food space. These were made up of a pastry dough and included apple pieces and caramel sauce inside.
The Caramel Apple Empanada was only $1.00 and was the ultimate dessert on the menu for years but sadly, it was removed in 2019. Considering the lackluster dessert offerings, I’d love to see this one return eventually.
10. Cap’n Crunch Delights
Last but not least, this was my favorite dessert item and I’m so sad Taco Bell decided to remove it from the menu. Cap’n Crunch Delights is the only breakfast item to make my list but honestly, they were too good to just enjoy at breakfast.
These were little dough balls that were coated in Captain Crunch cereal pieces and then featured sweet milk icing on the inside. Honestly, they were the bomb and I don’t know why Taco Bell ever got rid of them. You can still get the regular Cinnabon Delights but they’re ridiculously expensive (2 for $2.29 WTF.) Anyway, I can hope Taco Bell does the right thing and decides to bring these back in the near future.
