Thanksgiving remains one of the best holidays to be a foodie. There is something so delightful about getting together with family to eat food together.

You can also enjoy watching football and spending time with those you love but sometimes, you can forget something. That’s always the worst part of the holiday as there is always something you’ll need at the last minute.

Due to that, you’ll want to know which grocery stores are open on Thanksgiving but let’s keep in mind: It’s still a holiday. If you’re looking to head out on Thanksgiving, make sure to either check to see if hours are changed online or give them a call to confirm.

No matter if you’re headed out to grab a few things or just celebrating with friends, you can head to these grocery stores on Thanksgiving.

These grocery stores will all be open on Thanksgiving 2023.

Regardless of which region of the country you live in, you’re sure to find something near you that’s open. Of course, there’s no guaranteeing what the store’s stock is going to look like so keep that in mind. With that being said, let’s get into the stores you can shop at on Thanksgiving.

  • Stop & Shop
  • Shop Rite
  • Food Lion
  • Tom Thumb
  • H.E.B.
  • Safeway
  • Whole Foods

As you can see, there are plenty of grocery stores operating even on Thanksgiving so you have no excuse not to bring a dessert. I mean it might be questionable given that it’s a holiday. Plus as a note, I want to say that you should be nice and respectful to those who are working on Thanksgiving.

There’s no way they want to be there more than they want to celebrate with the people they love. Due to that, it’s always good to be nice and remember that you are shopping for groceries on a holiday.
