Challah is the king (or queen) of bread. It’s soft and delicious, and it always looks gorgeous. Whether you’re celebrating Hanukkah (challah is generally Kosher), Christmas, Kwanzaa, or another holiday, you really can’t go wrong with a nice challah.

But where can you get the best challah? If you’re located in a place with no Jewish bakeries or any place that makes a decent challah, it can be difficult to find. In the middle of the Midwest, it can feel almost impossible to find challah (or good bagels for that matter). Luckily, with the help of Challah Back Girls, you can have it shipped directly to you (and shipping doesn’t cost an arm and a leg).

Whether you’re looking for a traditional challah or something a little different, they have a bunch of flavors, including everything from apple cinnamon and birthday cake to chocolate chip and onion.

I was lucky enough to try the chocolate chip and the onion ones, and they are ridiculously good. The onions aren’t just on stop; they are mixed inside the rolls as well. The same goes for the chocolate chip. When you first look at the roll, you think there is only chocolate on top. Then you start eating it and find gobs of chocolate throughout. It is literal heaven. You will need several napkins.

Challah Back Girls is a must on any holiday table

If you’re looking for a delicious roll to go with your Christmas or Hanukkah dinner or you want a simple dessert that is (in my opinion) a whole lot better than Christmas cookies, you need to check out Challah Back Girls.

But the brand is more than just food. They also partner and fundraise for organizations that are working towards social and racial equality.  From their website, they state, “Through sharing this Jewish tradition, Challah Back Girls™ provides a meaningful and educational opportunity for healing, Tikkun Olam (repair the world), and transforming injustice.”
