Tiffany Derry joins Worst Cooks in America Season 27

Take one part Anne Burrell, throw is a group of people who have zero cooking skills, add a dash of chaos and humor, mix it all up and you might come close to Food Network mainstay series Worst Cooks in America.

The series will never be confused with Tournament of Champions or Bobby’s Triple Threat in terms of culinary prowess, but what it lacks in skill it more that make up for with contestants who bring the funny and make cooking a bit more accessible to the Average Joe.

For Season 27, series mainstay Anne Burrell will once again be leading the Red Team and this year she’ll be joined by a new rookie mentor. The one and only Tiffany Derry will be guiding the Blue Team in what Food Network is calling Worst Cooks in America: Spoiled Rotten.

For Season 27, Worst Cooks in America sees a group of recruits who are exactly what the title implies: they are spoiled rotten. From mama’s boys to people who only know to use an app on their phone, these are folks who have never set foot in a kitchen because they just haven’t wanted to.

According to Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, Warner Bros. Discovery, the result is a new level of food comedy.

"“This season’s Worst Cooks have never had to take care of themselves, and they are hilariously inept in the kitchen. Anne and Tiffany have their work cut out for them and along the way, the recruits gain independence and confidence along with their cooking skills.”"

New this season is the concept of Chef Bucks, which can be won by contestants who do particularly well in boot camp. They can then use their Chef Bucks to buy a game-changing advantage in an upcoming challenge.

But of course the goal remains the same. To become the best of the worst by cooking a three-course restaurant quality meal for a panel of judges, including Matt Abdoo, Adrienne Cheatham and Michael Jenkins. The winner walks away with a prize of $25,000 and of course bragging rights for their mentor.

Worst Cooks in America: Spoiled Rotten premieres on Food Network on Sunday, January 7 at 8 PM.
