Progresso speaks out on Alix Earle’s “hot” soup take
There are some topics that don’t need to be debated but Alix Earle opened a can of Progresso and we’ve all been thinking about it.
The video shared by Earle on TikTok was posted less than a week ago and it’s honestly shocking. In the video, she shared that her very hot take is that she just eats soup from the can without heating it up.
Nevertheless, lots of foodies had thoughts and it even reached Progresso which is the can she’s eating from the video. Whether you’re a soup fan or not, there is something to be said about that.
Thankfully, the brand decided to share their own thoughts on the video and what they think about this “hot take.”
Progresso sounds off on Alix Earle’s hot take on cold soup.
Let’s start with the statement as it came from Progresso’s Brand Experience Manager, Shannon Heine. Her statement is as follows: “Our soups provide high-quality meals without the extra prep work or cooking time needed, so we can definitely get behind this extreme hot take – even if it means no kitchen time required. We’re happy to settle the debate! Our soups can be consumed cold but whatever temperature you prefer, we agree with Alix that soup is elite– maybe even the new “It Girl” of the pantry?” As you can see, the brand is incredibly excited.
As a soup lover, I have to disagree with this trend as I feel like soup is best when it’s hot. That’s not to say you can’t enjoy it cold but there’s something so comforting about a warm bowl of soup. Maybe if you’re in hotter climate, it’s a better alternative.
When there’s snow on the ground and wind is whipping, there’s nothing like going home to be a piece of crusty bread along with a can of Progresso. If there’s one thing I can agree with, it’s that Progresso’s Rich & Hearty Chicken & Homestyle Noodle is the best. There is something infinitely comforting about that so how could you not want to have some after the bar? Either way, I do think you can’t go wrong in eating some Progresso, cold or not.
