As this year is the 30th anniversary of Pulp Fiction, an iconic scene from the film appeared on my Instagram page as I was scrolling. It featured the iconic dialogue between Samuel L. Jackson and John Travolta involving the Royale with Cheese, also known as the Quarter Pounder.

While we don't call it the Royale with Cheese in the U.S., the burger is one of the better options on the McDonald's menu. Below are three reasons why it should be part of your order the next time you visit the fast food location.

Cooked to order

One of the best things about the Quarter Pounder is that it is the only burger cooked to order. As soon as you take a bite out of it, you will instantly notice a difference compared to other burgers on the menu. Also, it comes with 100% beef, which is sure to be much more delicious and filling than the standard cheeseburger on the menu that has been sitting on the rack for a prolonged period.

A perfect option for picky eaters

When I eat a burger, I don’t add much to it. I’m not a big fan of lettuce, tomato, mayo, or many other condiments. That said, the Quarter Pounder rewards picky eaters with its simple setup: two slices of cheese, ketchup, mustard, onions, and pickles on a sesame seed bun. As a selective eater, I can safely say this combination works well.

Bigger portion size

One challenge many of us face is getting enough food to fill us up. Nothing is worse than realizing you’re still hungry after your meal. With the Quarter Pounder, you get a bigger burger that satisfies your hunger better than the regular cheeseburger or McDouble. Add a drink and fries, and you’re set for a tasty, filling meal at McDonald’s.
