Beginning Monday, two essential groups — teachers and nurses — will be recognized during Teachers and Nurses Appreciation Week, which runs from May 5-12. To celebrate these vital members of our communities, several restaurants are offering deals and giveaways.
Here are five spots offering deals or giveaways, in no particular order:
Applebee's
This one has technically already started, but from now until May 10, teachers and nurses can get a free appetizer when purchasing an entrée. Those interested must mention the offer and show a valid badge to receive the deal.
Chipotle
Chipotle is giving away $2 million worth of free burritos to 200,000 teachers and healthcare professionals. You can enter now through the teacher link and the healthcare worker link until May 12. Winners — 100,000 from each group — will be randomly selected starting May 13, and verified winners will receive a free burrito e-card.
McAllister's Deli
From tomorrow through May 12, teachers and nurses can score a free Big Tea at any McAlister’s Deli location by showing a valid ID or badge.
Shake Shack
Shake Shack knows their food is nothing without a tasty shake to wash it down, which is why they are giving teachers or nurses with a valid ID a free one with any purchase from May 6-12.
Tim Hortons
From tomorrow through May 12, teachers and nurses can buy a donut and get one free through the Tim Hortons Rewards program. There’s also a bonus deal: buy a dozen donuts and get six free.
Whether you're in the classroom or on the front lines of healthcare, these deals are a small token of appreciation for your daily dedication. So if you qualify, don’t miss out — and if you enter the Chipotle giveaway, I hope you’re one of the lucky 200,000 to snag that free burrito e-card!
