A.1. is reimbursing meals for sauce enthusiasts who bring their own bottle
By Trey Weston
One of the most delicious protein options is steak. Whether you prefer a ribeye, filet mignon, sirloin, or New York strip, there’s something irresistible about the juicy flavor of every bite. Beyond the baseline appeal of steak, it often features enhancements like shrimp, mushrooms, or caramelized onions. Sauces and kinds of butter are also popular toppings, with gourmet options such as truffle butter and red wine reduction often available. Sometimes, though, you simply want A.1. — and maybe you even bring it to a nice restaurant.
A.1. encourages fans to bring their own bottle
Although cheaper steakhouse options like Texas Roadhouse and LongHorn often have A.1. Steak Sauce, the same can't be said about fancier spots. This has led some fans to sneak a bottle in and discreetly pull it out to smother their steak. Now, the company is leaning into this trend with a bold new campaign encouraging people to bring their own A.1. bottle.
To participate, visit your favorite steakhouse starting today with your A.1. readily available. Then, snap a picture of your steak next to the sauce bottle and submit it to BYO-A1.com for a chance to have your meal reimbursed — up to $100.
"A.1. has always been about celebrating steak lovers and their unique preferences," said Holland Robinson in a statement regarding the announcement. "With the BYO A.1. campaign, we're not just embracing our fans' passion for our sauce, we're starting a movement and empowering them to enjoy their steak exactly how they want."
Steak sauce, your way
I’ve always believed in consuming steak just as it comes from the kitchen, letting the chef’s expertise shine without additional embellishments. That said, there’s no denying the appeal of elevating your meal with a touch of one of the most iconic steak sauces — if that’s the flavor you’re craving.
The bottom line is that A.1. wants everyone to enjoy the sauce they love — at home or in a nice restaurant — without fear of being judged. Like Nicki Minaj did all those years ago, it’s time for a good old-fashioned BYOB. Except this time, it’s A.1. Steak Sauce.
