Recently, I was cleaning up my inbox and I found an email from World Market talking about trends. Considering World Market is the place that we go for everything from furniture and decor to food and drinks, they definitely seem to know what people are looking for. So when it comes to current trends, we want to know what they are seeing.
What I found interesting about this particular email was the fact that right at the top was a focus on what is "now trending." And specifically, they said that foodie pillows are what’s currently going viral.
A foodie pillow can be something as cute and simple as a watermelon slice, a lemon slice or my personal favorite, the croissant pillow. And World Market is certainly not the only store that sells food inspired pillows.
This had me wondering whether or not a foodie pillow is actually the trend for 2025. Will we be seeing more people bringing home pillows inspired by their favorite food and treats? I think the answer might just be a resounding yes.
There is no denying that food inspired pillows are not new. Over the last few years especially, we have seen a variety of adorable pillows featuring such iconic snacks, as Peeps, Sour Patch Kids, Popcorn buckets and more. And we loved every single one of these pillows. In fact, we have one or two of them ourselves.
Food inspired pillows are the decor you didn't know you needed in 2025
However, in 2025 it really does seem like the foodie pillows people really want are a bit more classic in terms of the food item. When it comes to decorative pillows, there are a ton to choose from, but in terms of food inspired pillows, it is all about the more realistic styles.
On the World Market website, the decorative pillow offerings for foodies include a watermelon slice, a lemon slice (I love this pillow enough I would likely redecorate around this one piece), a croissant, a pineapple, and even a carrot. Honestly, scrolling through their decorative pillows and throws selection really makes you want to consider a new aesthetic when it comes to your home decor. (Or maybe that is just me.)
Personally, I love that World Market is letting people know that 2025 is the year that we are embracing our love of food through things like decor. And we can't wait to see what other trends around food pop up as we dive deeper into the year.
