Beekeeper Coffee and the Portland Trailblazers bring cold brew coffee to NBA games

When you hear the word "beekeeper," a few things might buzz into your brain. For some, it’s the high-octane action movie starring Jason Statham from last year. For others, it’s the literal image of someone in a funny hat wrangling bees. But today, the only Beekeeper that matters is Beekeeper Coffee, which just inked a new partnership with a Pacific Northwest NBA team.

Cold brew coffee is available at Blazers games

Sure, the Trail Blazers are facing some challenges on the court, but cold brew coffee fans have a fresh reason to get hyped at the Moda Center. Thanks to a partnership between Beekeeper Coffee and the team, fans can now grab a cup of cold brew on the arena’s main concourse.

The Beekeeper Coffee cart will serve up four signature flavors: Vanilla, Mocha, and Caramel cold brew lattes, plus a classic Black cold brew. Each drink is sweetened with a touch of organic Oregon honey for that local flair.

And if you’re more into spirited beverages, there’s good news — select arena bars will feature a Beekeeper Coffee Martini.

More NBA partnerships with food/beverage companies, please

Let’s face it: arena food can be a letdown. How many times have you endured dry chicken tenders or popcorn that’s saltier than a sports better who lost their last leg on a parlay? Wouldn’t you rather grab something from a popular food chain instead?

Some teams are catching on. The Lakers, for instance, have Mod Pizza and Wetzel’s Pretzels at their games, plus a popular Doritos-themed restaurant. Now, the Trail Blazers are stepping up their game with cold brew options, courtesy of Beekeeper Coffee.

But why stop there? More teams should follow suit. How about even more creative partnerships —and maybe a cost-effective menu like the Phoenix Suns or Atlanta Falcons have introduced? Affordable snacks AND exciting food options? Now that’s a slam dunk.

And with that, my TED Talk is over. If you’re heading to a Blazers game soon, keep an eye out for Beekeeper Coffee. If not, you can still find it at stores like Fred Meyer, The Fresh Market, and Gelson’s Market.
