Maybe it is me, but I love Carvel. I love their variety of flavors, the fact that their soft serve is always creamy and flavorful, and that they give us multiple options when it comes to enjoying their offerings. Whether you want a classic cone, a sundae, or something else, Carvel understands and makes it happen.
So it might come as no surprise that I was thrilled to learn that they were releasing a new flavor. While the new Lemonberry Crumble flavor has now been out for a few weeks, it took me some time to actually get to my closest Carvel location. (It's got to be a planned trip or it's not happening, sadly.)
Available for a limited time (and I hope they extend it to at least make it through the summer), the Lemonberry Crumble is a combination of lemon and blueberry that screams fresh and tangy. And Carvel is making things even more fun by offering this flavor in four sweet treats!
Carvel launches the Lemonberry Crumble as a perfect flavor to transition from spring to summer
The four menu options we can choose from when it comes to the Lemonberry Crumble are:
- The classic Lemonberry Crumble Soft Serve
- The Lemonberry Crumble Scooped (This is "Layers of lemon ice cream, zesty lemon cookies, and vanilla crunchies.")
- A Lemonberry Crumble Dasher
- A Lemonberry Crumble Pop (For the pop version of this treat we get, "Lemonberry Crumble ice cream dipped in a white hard shell and rolled in vanilla crunchies."
For me a classic soft serve cone is always a winner, but this is also the kind of flavor that I love as a shake as well. There is something so perfect about the blending of lemon and blueberry in this flavor. And considering how much I love all things lemon, it likely comes as no surprise that this is a new favorite flavor for me.
I love the citrusy zip of the lemon, combined with the hints of blueberry. And I have to admit that the color of this one is so gorgeous! This is absolutely an Insta-worthy soft serve ice cream and I can't wait to get my hands on this flavor again.
At this point, I know I have to try the Lemonberry Crumble Scooped just because of the addition of the lemon cookies. And maybe even the Pop (although I love soft serve in a cone and might just go back for another one of those instead) just to satisfy those lemony cravings.
