According to the press release we received, one lucky cheddar lover is going to win nearly a metric ton of cheese from Tillamook. And that’s a lot of cheese. This giveaway is a celebration of the brand‘s birthday, and it’s all about celebrating the year when the dairy was founded. That’s why there’s 1909 pounds of cheese up for grabs. Because of course, Tillamook was founded in 1909.
On top of the over 1900 pounds of cheese that one lucky cheddar lover will win, the first 15,000 people who enter will actually get a coupon for some free cheese. Now that sounds like a win to us.
Tillamook is giving away a literal boatload of cheese
So what exactly inspired the boatload of cheese giveaway from Tillamook? How about the fact that there was a literal boat named the Morning Star that was built by the founding farmers to share their dairy products beyond the cost of Oregon, where Tillamook is located. That’s a pretty exciting reason to give away a boatload of cheese.
Honestly, I am such a big fan of Tillamook cheese. And I love all of their dairy products. But there is something about their cheddar cheese (and really all of their cheese) that really hits the spot. Whether you’re buying a giant chunk to cut pieces off of, getting the mini slices that work as a snack, snagging a bag of pre-shredded cheese, or whatever other combination of cheese you need, Tillamook has us covered. And they really make it easy for us to create amazing things in the kitchen. Not only have I used their cheese to make quiches and mac & cheese, but it’s also amazing for things like pizza and casseroles.
