Over the past few days, 16 of the NHL’s top teams have hit the ice in pursuit of the Stanley Cup. And to celebrate one of the most exciting times of the year for sports fans, Chipotle is bringing back a fan-favorite promotion.
The hockey BOGO returns today at Chipotle
Starting at 3 p.m. local time, customers who wear a hockey jersey to a participating Chipotle in the U.S. or Canada can score a buy-one-get-one-free deal on entrées. This marks the fifth year Chipotle has offered the popular deal.
The returning promotion comes at a time when the NHL announced an extension of their multiyear North American partnership, which certifies Chipotle as the official Mexican-themed quick service and fast casual restaurant of the league. For those watching the playoffs, be sure to be on the lookout for the Chipotle logo, which will be featured on the ice for the duration of the partnership.
The company is also teaming up with the NHLPA for the first time, allowing more players to work on future brand campaigns.
A deal worth celebrating
Back to the actual food side of things, and this promotion is one of the better ones you can find these days. With the ability to get up to five items free (meaning that you can purchase five to get five), you can stock up for yourself or make sure that the whole family is fed.
Another awesome thing about this promotion is that the hockey jersey is not limited to the teams that are currently in the playoffs. This means you can pull that Gordie Howe Hartford Whalers jersey out of the closet or even that Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby jersey, despite the fact that the team didn't make the cut this year.
And if your team was one of the fortunate ones to qualify for the playoffs, what better way to celebrate than with a BOGO deal from Chipotle?
Now, if only they’d let you order quesadillas in-store again. Oh well! Here’s to a great BOGO offer and another thrilling postseason.
