If there’s one thing about Coca-Cola, it’s that the brand has never shied away from experimenting with different flavors in its iconic mix. Last year, Oreo Coca-Cola created significant buzz online, and now a citrus-inspired flavor is set to debut next month.

Coca-Cola Orange Cream will be heading to stores this February

Are you an orange-cream dreamer? If you're like me and wish that Arby's wasn't the only place to grab a good Orange Cream shake, then I would say you meet the criteria. That said, Coca-Cola is taking that cherished flavor and turning it into a regular and zero-sugar option that will be available on the shelves of most retailers in the US and Canada starting Feb. 10.

Regarding more specifics on the release, the concoction is a mix of the iconic, delicious taste of Coke that we have grown to love, combined with the orange and smooth, creamy vanilla flavors.

Will this concept work?

You might be wondering whether this combination will actually hit the mark. Can Coca-Cola’s iconic flavor pair successfully with the nostalgic taste of an orange cream soda? While I think it can, keep in mind that it may be on the sweeter side. For those watching their sugar intake, I’d recommend opting for the zero-sugar version.

Regardless, I love seeing soda brands experiment like this. It’s a smart way to generate buzz online, even if it’s not for everyone. While I could never regularly drink Sour Patch or Skittles-flavored sodas, I’d still be willing to try them once — just like I’m eager to give this latest Coca-Cola flavor a shot.

On the topic of orange cream flavors, McDonald’s — if you’re listening — it’s time to bring back the Arctic Orange shake as a permanent menu item.
