No, Lionel Messi hasn’t paired a candy line with his Más by Messi beverage collection. This spotlight belongs solely to Beckham, the former Manchester United star who won six Premier League titles during his storied career. Now, he’s channeling his off-field passion for beekeeping into a brand focused on better-for-you snacking.
Inspired by his hobby-turned-passion, Beckham’s BEEUP snacks are made with honey and aim to provide a more natural source of energy. The gummies are non-GMO, free from synthetic dyes and artificial flavors, and packed with vitamins A, C, and E. Flavors include Very Bery, Tropical Mix, and Sour Watermelon.
“Beekeeping began as a hobby with my sons, but quickly grew into a deep appreciation for honey as a powerful superfood that provides natural energy,” Beckham said in a press release regarding the launch. “I’m excited to make this wholesome, nutritious ingredient available for active kids and families in the form of these incredible BEEUP snacks.”
Thanks to the brand, I got to try them early, and they’re pretty solid. The honey flavor is noticeable and tastes a bit strong at first, but it becomes more enjoyable the further you grab from the pouch. My personal favorite? Tropical Mix. Although, if you’re into sour flavors, the Sour Watermelon reminded me of Sour Patch Watermelon — just without the artificial stuff.
