Adding olive oil to your cooking routine can really elevate your kitchen experience. That being said, there are a lot of olive oil brands on the market. So it can be hard to find a brand that works for you.
But what does that mean? Have you ever noticed that between brands you might get a different flavor of olive oil. There are different varieties of olive oil out there and one brand that really leans into the fact that you can pull different flavors from your olive oil is Branche.
Branche offers three different, high quality olive oil varieties that each have unique and distinctive flavors. They have their Olive Oil No. 1, which is a more herb forward olive oil. It’s a more bold option for people who like a richer flavor profile with their olive oil. Then there is the Olive Oil No. 2, which is a more buttery option. Personally, this is the one I choose for doing salad dressings and drizzling after a cook.
Branche introduced their new Olive Oil No. 3 in November 2024
Having been introduced to Branche in 2024, I immediately learns that I love the No. 2 because it is a much lighter flavor of olive oil. And I found myself reaching for it the most when it came to utilizing olive oil in cooking or meal prepping.
However, now Branche has introduced a new variety called Olive Oil No. 3. This one is described as a more peppery, while also being smooth, olive oil. And we had an opportunity to give this one a try for ourselves.
Branche Olive Oil No. 3, is a bolder option versus the No. 2. But I will say that it really adds a lot of flavor to your cooking. I used it for pan frying items, such as veggies and meats. I added it to items that I was putting into the oven to bake as well. And I really found that it had a bolder flavor profile with nutty undertones, that really works for things like beef and chicken. For the chicken, I just wanted to add more flavor. Whereas when I was cooking up the beef, it was really about having an olive oil that could withstand that richer meat.
I was actually surprised by how much I loved the Branche Olive Oil No. 3 because of how much I enjoyed their No. 2. That being said, all three of their olive oil varieties have a place in the kitchen, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking to shake things up in the kitchen in 2025.
