Valentine's Day often calls for a romantic dinner with your significant other — unless one of you is cheffing it up at home. While upscale steakhouses and other fancy spots have their appeal, they can’t quite match the festive, slider-filled charm of White Castle.
Yes, that White Castle.
White Castle will once again become "Love Castle" for Valentine's Day
Once again, the fast-food chain will transform into "Love Castle" on Feb. 14. What began in 1991 as a quirky tradition has grown into an annual Valentine’s Day event. The goal? To turn a drive-thru destination into a surprisingly fancy dining spot for the most romantic night of the year. This year marks the 34th edition of the tradition, proving that romance and sliders make an oddly perfect pair.
So, what’s the vibe on this special night? It’s actually pretty impressive. For one special evening, White Castle gets a total makeover with hostess seating, tableside service, and festive décor designed to set the mood.
"Our castles go all out to make Valentine's Day dinner extra special, adding a little extra love to everything we serve," said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle in a press release. "We're the perfect place for celebrating love with friends, families, and significant others."
For those interested, reservations can now be made on OpenTable for Valentine's Day. I strongly recommend booking early if you plan to spend the evening here, as dining hours are limited to 4–9 p.m., and seating is limited.
Whether you’re celebrating with a partner, a family member, or a group of friends, this unique Valentine’s Day experience is sure to be memorable — and budget-friendly.
Oh, and one last piece of advice: pack some breath mints. Those sliders may be delicious, but onion breath is not the best way to seal the evening with a kiss.
