Frosty fans rejoice: Wendy's unveils new flavor for 55th anniversary of the classic treat
By Trey Weston
From childhood visits to late-night runs in my adult years, the Frosty has always been a treat I’ve enjoyed. The comfort that comes with every scoop and bite is something few other things can offer. This year, the beloved dessert turns 55, and Wendy's is celebrating with a new flavor.
And the new latest option is..
The latest Frosty flavor, available nationwide starting today, is Salted Caramel. The newest innovation from the fast-food chain features rich, salty caramel notes, perfect for getting into the winter spirit.
Beyond just being a new option, this release shows once again that Wendy’s isn’t afraid to get creative with their flavors. While chocolate will always be the original flavor, the popular chain has introduced many others over the years, including peppermint, birthday cake, pumpkin spice, and orange dreamsicle. Now, Salted Caramel joins the lineup and is sure to capture the attention of Frosty fans nationwide.
Every Frosty needs a companion
Rarely, when you visit Wendy’s do you simply get a Frosty — at least not if you're like me or those who enjoy dipping their fries into their Frosty. But hey, at Guilty Eats, we don’t judge how you enjoy your favorites.
In addition to the new Frosty flavor, Wendy's is also introducing two new fall menu items: the Mushroom Bacon Cheeseburger and Taco Salad. The burger features savory roasted mushrooms, crispy bacon, Muenster cheese, and a creamy garlic spread. The Taco Salad includes a new creamy, zesty dressing, fire-roasted corn, crispy tortilla chips, and the iconic Wendy’s Chili.
"Wendy's fall menu items were crafted to bring both comfort and joy to our customers, tapping into the flavors they crave as the temperatures drop," said John Li, Wendy's Vice President of Culinary Innovation in a press release.
But today, we celebrate the Frosty. Here's to 55 years of comfort and delicious taste—thank you, Wendy’s, for creating a treat that has delighted generations.
