Have you heard of Feel Good Foodie on social media? For anyone unfamiliar with Yumna Jawad, also known as Feel Good Foodie, they are not only a cookbook author, but a social media chef bringing us delicious recipes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine. And now, Jawad has partnered with Home Chef to give us a chance to try their recipes with ease.

Through January 24, Home Chef customers can choose dishes inspired by the Feel Good Foodie. And that includes Shrimp Orzo Salad, Baked Feta Salmon and even a Chicken Gyro (this is the dish we want to try the most).

Of course, we wanted to know what Yumna Jawad had to say about her partnership with Home Chef and what inspires her in the kitchen. Luckily, we were able to ask her some questions about this epic collaboration.

Yumna Jawad, The Feel Good Foodie, talks about partnering with Home Chef to kick off 2025

Guilty Eats - What inspired you to want to work with Home Chef?

Yumna Jawad - "One thing that really caught my eye about Home Chef is how they offer approachable recipes that make cooking easy and convenient for home cooks of all levels. It was a fun way to bring my recipes to my followers in a way that was affordable, approachable and accessible."

GE - What do you hope people get out of this partnership?

YJ - "I hope people feel encouraged to try something new, whether it is adding a twist to a favorite recipe or having a meal from Home Chef they’ve never tried before. Cooking with new flavors or cuisines doesn’t have to be difficult, and Home Chef makes it easy by sending all of the ingredients directly to you. I also hope it inspires people to try Mediterranean recipes by seeing how accessible the recipes can be and how delicious the results are."

GE - What are some suggestions you have for people looking to add more Mediterranean flavors and dishes into their routine?

YJ - "In my Feel Good Foodie cookbook, I recommend people purchase at least one of these 8 Mediterranean staples: 7 Spice, Pomegranate Molasses, Rose Water, Sumac, Tahini, Zaatar and Dates. These ingredients are heroes in my kitchen because they have the power to give ordinary recipes a unique and pleasantly surprising spin that tastes so good!"

GE - What are some ingredients you think will help people shake things up in the kitchen?

YJ - "Some of my favorites are Mediterranean pantry-stable staples that can add a boost of flavor to any recipe including olives, sundried tomatoes, jarred artichokes and capers. They each have a salty, briny, and/or lemony tang that can elevate everyday meals."

GE - As we are Guilty Eats, what is one of your guilty eats?

YJ - "Baked macaroni and cheese - it’s the ultimate comfort food for me that’s cheesy, carby and so good!"
