Spring is upon us, with summer right around the corner, and it comes at a time when many are firing their grills up once again. And when it comes to sauces that pair perfectly with grilling season, few come close to the popularity of barbecue.
Now, imagine combining that smoky-sweet flavor with the creamy comfort of mac and cheese. Kraft is giving fans the chance to do just that with its newest seasonal flavor.
Kraft introduces a summer-ready flavor
Rolling out at retailers nationwide, the new Kraft Mac & Cheese Smoky Barbecue arrives just in time for warmer weather and backyard hangouts. According to Kraft, the new variety “boldly fuses smoky and sweet barbecue spices with Kraft’s cheesy, buttery taste,” delivering a true barbecue-in-a-box experience.
But that’s not all Kraft is cooking up. The brand is also releasing its Jalapeño and Ranch flavors in convenient cup form. And back by popular demand, the Everything Bagel flavor — a Walmart exclusive that sold out quickly after its debut last year — will return this summer as a cup option.
With Kraft Mac & Cheese always having a spot in my heart as the igniter for my love for mac & cheese, I am very excited to see how this turns out. When you visit a barbecue spot, you can order pork or, potentially, brisket mac and cheese. But with this, you gave the ability to have both the mac and cheese and barbecue flavor as one - without having to spend a lot of money.
So now until mid-summer, be sure to try the Smokey Barbecue flavor from Kraft. Whether you opt to grill this year or not, the option is a great way to mix two summer favorites: mac and cheese and barbecue.
