If there’s one thing Krispy Kreme loves, it’s giving away doughnuts in response to real-world chaos. Earlier this year, they handed out freebies to PlayStation users affected by the PSN outage. Today, they’re offering a free Original Glazed doughnut — no purchase, REAL ID, or stress required.
"The DMV can be stressful enough in normal times, but we know May 7 is going to be 'next level' stress for many Americans trying to get their REAL ID," said Dave Skena, Chief Growth Officer of Krispy Kreme in a press release. "So, we're going to keep this simple. Come by on May 7 and have a free Original Glazed Doughnut on us, no REAL ID – or any ID – required.”
This free doughnut giveaway is part of Krispy Kreme’s ongoing commitment to reward us during life’s oddly specific crises. And honestly, few things in this world beat a warm Original Glazed — especially if the hot light is on.
The Mother's Day Mini Doughnuts collection is also here
In addition to the free doughnuts, Krispy Kreme also has a mini doughnuts collection in celebration of Mother's Day. From now until May 11, there are four special mini doughnut flavors to celebrate mom, including Strawberry Sunshine, Chocolate Chip Cookie Delight, Chocolate Iced Yellow Heart, and Sparkly Vanilla Sunset. The collection is available both in-shop and for pick-up or delivery via Krispy Kreme's app and website.
