Do you remember your first Lunchable? It was the pizza one back when I was a kid that got me into trying more of their offerings. It's now 2025, and the brand is taking an iconic sandwich that we know and love and adding it to the Lunchables collection.
It is officially PB&J time with Lunchables
One of life’s simplest pleasures is a PB&J sandwich. It’s been a staple in lunchboxes for generations, and now it’s joining the Lunchables lineup with a fun twist. Say hello to PB&J Dippables — the brand’s first-ever dippable, no-thaw, crustless PB&J sandwich that is arriving at retailers nationwide now.
Each pack comes with one of two dip options: strawberry and grape jelly. This setup lets kids and adults alike enjoy every bite — whether they’re team strawberry, team grape, or both.
"The launch of Lunchables PB&J is a continuation in our mission to reinvent the refrigerated category by providing high quality, delicious, affordable, and convenient solutions for snack time and beyond," said Danni Levin, Associate Director of Innovation for Lunchables in a press release. "We're remixing a classic, delivering on parents' desire for convenience and kids' love of dipping and customizing - PB&Js will never be the same.
A remix of "Peanut Butter Jelly Time"
As part of the launch, Lunchables is also serving up a musical throwback. Twista and Lil Jon have reunited for the first time in over a decade to remix the early 2000s viral hit “Peanut Butter Jelly Time.” The campaign draws a clever parallel: just as the song gets a fresh remix, so does the classic PB&J sandwich.
So why might this be a hit with kids and adults, too? For one, the crust is gone, which is often the first thing to get tossed aside. Second, the dippable format is fun and lets you decide how much "jelly" you want. And three, this isn’t a frozen product — just grab it from the fridge and go.
To put it in Millennial/Gen Z terms, Lunchables has developed its PB&J version of Dunkaroos, which has the potential to be a hit among people of all ages who want a snack.
