We have some exciting news from Moe's Southwest Grill to kick off the month of February. The restaurant has decided to bring one of their most popular and iconic protein options for a limited time.
According to the press email we received on behalf of Moe's Southwest Grill, Birria is back on the menu for the winter. The shredded beef birria is one of the most popular proteins to grace the Moe's stage and for a short time this winter, it is coming back to tantalize people's taste buds.
If you missed out on the magic of birria from Moe's the first time around, this is definitely your chance to change that. And if you are curious about the birria, they explain that it is "juicy shredded beef cooked in chiles and garlic."
I had the opportunity to try the returning birria while at Moe's Southwest Grill's headquarters in Atlanta back in September 2024 and I fell back in love with this tender, juicy protein. It was packed full of flavor and just made your mouth water with every bite. This might be one of my favorite limited time proteins, and I am definitely excited for its return.
So what all will you want to know about birria's return?

For a limited time only, Moe's will be celebrating birria's return with the arrival of the Quesabirria Taco. But what is the Quesabirria Taco? Moe's describes this taco as, "a unique symphony of savory flavors, featuring juicy shredded beef birria slow cooked in chiles and garlic in a grilled Oaxaca cheese-crusted soft shell." The shell alone is enough to have you ordering this menu item, and then add in the beef and you have a must try taco.
Both the Birria and the Quesabirria Taco will be available at Moe's locations nationwide staring on February 4. And that means that whether you try the limited edition taco or add this LTO protein to any entree, you will definitely want to head to Moe's for a bit of beefy goodness. Your tastebuds will thank you.
