Applebee’s offers 50 cent Boneless Wings… And free Boneless Wings for life

Move over, Pulitzer Prize. Get out of here, Oscars. Presidential Medal of Freedom? Take a hike. Applebee’s has snagged the big one and has been named America’s Favorite Boneless Wings, thanks to a blind taste test held in 2023.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Applebee’s is not only offering 50¢ Boneless Wings for a limited time, they’re also offering a chance to win Boneless Wings for Life in a new contest.

“America has spoken, and we couldn’t agree more,” said Applebee’s Chief Marketing Officer, Joel Yashinsky via a press release provided to Guilty Eats. “Our Boneless Wings are our best-selling menu item, and so good that our guests have created their own social media challenges in the past to enjoy them to the fullest. Now for a limited time, guests can join in on this mouthwatering madness and enjoy our award-winning Boneless Wings for only 50 cents!”

Let’s talk methodology. The designation was provided by a national Omnibus survey in 2023. It was followed by “a series of nationally representative double-blind taste tests in four distinct geographic regions.” While we don’t know which wings Applebee’s was competing against, we do know the results: the Buffalo Boneless Wings were “statistically significantly preferred at a 95 percent confidence level nationally.”

Yashinsky continued, “We want to thank our loyal guests, who have shared our Boneless Wing love all along. At Applebee’s you won’t just be Eatin’ Good in the Neighborhood – you’ll be eatin’ America’s Favorite Boneless Wings.”

Here’s the good news: despite it being the Buffalo Wings that won the contest, you’re the real winner here… All flavors of Boneless Wings including Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Sweet Asian Chile, Garlic Parmesan, Extra Hot Buffalo, and Honey Pepper will be available for 50 cents; though celery, bleu cheese, and ranch are available for an additional charge.

You’re probably also wondering how much you can game the system here. While it appears the limit does not exist when it comes to dining in the restaurant, online orders are available only in five-wing increments, for a “maximum basket count of 10 orders.” Or in English, you can order a maximum of 50 wings at 50 cents each online.

But what of the Boneless Wings for Life? Won’t someone think of the Boneless Wings for Life??? Basically all you need to do is say how happy you are for Applebee’s on TikTok using the hashtag #ABWings4LifeContest before 11:59 pm ET on April 8, 2024, and you’re entered. There are a few more rules you can check out here, but no purchase is necessary, you must be 18 or older, and a legal resident of the 50 United States or D.C.
