Taco Bell Tuesday: The Big Cheez-It Is Finally Coming to the Menu Nationwide... But Is This Just the Beginning?

Taco Bell has had some amazing collaborations in the past but nothing holds a candle -- or a cracker -- to what the brand has done with Cheez-It.

The collaboration was first teased June 28, 2022 in a post shared on Taco Bell's website where we got our first look at The Big Cheez-It Tostada and the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme. Both were your requisite Tostada or Crunchwrap Supreme, but with a Cheez-It 16 times the size of a regular Cheez-It inside -- or in the case of the Tostada, replacing the tortilla.

The offerings were only in one location and became so popular so quickly that by July 3 Taco Bell closed down the test. And then, nothing for a long time... Until the Live Mas event held on February 9, when we got a glimpse that the Cheez-It items would finally be hitting the menu.

And now, they're almost here. Starting May 30, users of the Taco Bell app can get early access to the Cheez-It items, until June 5. Then on June 6, they launch nationwide, according to a video posted by Taco Bell on TikTok.

Given these new items will only be on the menu for a limited time, and while supplies last, you'll have to act quick. But could this be just the beginning of a beautiful friendship between Taco Bell and their enormous Cheez-It?

What Other Cheez-It Collabos Could Happen With Taco Bell?

As great as the new Cheez-It Tostada and Crunchwrap Supreme are, it makes me wonder what other food at Taco Bell could be Cheez-It-ified? One option? Keep it simple and give us a slightly more durable Cheez-It Hard-Shell Taco, a la the Nacho Cheese Doritos Loco Taco.

Another option could be to swap them with fiesta strips in items like the Double Stacked Taco or the Cheesy Double Beef Burrito. You'd still be getting that crunch but with some added cheese flavor. The chain could even give us a crunchy triple-cheese grilled cheese burrito which sounds heavenly. Last but not least, I feel a thicker and larger Cheez-It could also be a great vehicle for some Cheez-It nachos.

Some of these items are more of a pipe dream, but I'm sure none of us could have pictured a Cheez-It Tostada or a Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme years ago. Here's hoping they crunch into some of these new ideas, soon. The people demand them!
