The last time Carl’s Jr.’s beloved, spicy El Diablo burger hit the chain’s menu, it was for a limited time, from June through August 2023. But now, the El Diablo burger is back forever… And it’s brought some friends along for the ride.

Here’s what you need to know about the “infernal return,” as the press release puts it. As of this week, the El Diablo burger is officially back on the menu. It features two patties, two strips of bacon, Jalapeño Poppers Bites, pepperjack cheese, and habanero ranch sauce on a seeded num.

That’s not all, though. Also hitting the menu are the El Diablo Hand-Breaded Chicken Tender Wrap, and El Diablo Loaded Fries. The former is a chicken tender with lettuce, shredded cheese, and habanero sauce. The Loaded Fries are fries with habanero sauce, shredded cheese, and jalapeño coins. Not to backseat drive this, but I feel like those fries could maybe be more loaded, so if you want to order some chicken tenders and chop ‘em up on top there along with some bacon or something, I would not stop you.

However, perhaps the biggest news for customers is they’ve rejiggered their menu to focus on burgers.

“We are focusing squarely on our big, bold and irresistibly craveable signature burgers. With this menu, we’re democratizing flavor. No longer will our guests be confined to combo numbers or limited time offers – they’ll be able to customize the flavors and experiences at different price points,” said Jack Volpi, senior brand manager and menu transformation project lead, via press release provided to Guilty Eats.

Added  Vice President of Marketing Anthony Nguyen, “El Diablo is back on the menu, and it’s ushering in a new era of bold, audacious flavor for all. We’re excited to lean into our cult-favorite status and give the people the flavor they’ve been asking for through our new menu design – more craving, more heat, more flavor… for eternity.”

Sounds ominous, but while we contemplate the idea of forever, let’s all munch on an El Diablo Burger. You can get the new menu items at Carl’s Jr. right now.
