Chipotle offers free Smoked Brisket for lucky fans struggling in fantasy football

Fantasy football is one of the more exciting things about a new season. Each year, millions of NFL fans across the country get a chance to be a GM, hoping to hoist the title upon the season's conclusion. However, with injuries and other factors playing a role, sometimes fantasy football can be frustrating. And Chipotle, well aware of the struggles that come with being a team owner, is offering one of their popular returning items for players who have gotten smoked this season.

Starting tomorrow and lasting for a week, Chipotle Rewards members can tweet a screenshot of their most brutal beating of the season on X with the hashtags #SmokedLineup and #Sweepstakes. From there, 100 of those selections will win free Smoked Brisket for the rest of the regular season.

"Football fans are some of the most passionate fans out there - especially when it comes to their fantasy teams. When results don't go your way, the disappointment is real," said Chris Brandt, Chief Brand Officer, in a press release provided to Guilty Eats. "Our 'Got Smoked? Get Smoked.' initiative is here to help fantasy managers who lost big regroup and recover for a playoff push."

From failures to free food

Although it won't fully soothe the pain of being smoked in a fantasy league, it is a thoughtful move by Chipotle to offer a popular returning item to those who have gotten off to a rough start this season. I can attest to this as someone who is 0-3 in one league, but I believe in never giving up, especially since we are just beginning October.

That said, I will now head to my waiver wire to see who I can pick up to help me with some roster injuries. But if you were a victim of a smoking in the first four weeks of the NFL season, then you might want to attempt to be one of the lucky 100 who receive Smoked Brisket for the remainder of the regular season.
