Right now online TEKKEN fans are trying very hard to convince the game’s creator to add a level so they can take the fight to Waffle House (it’s a whole meme thing, don’t worry about it). While that’s TBD, you can take the fight to subdue your hunger to Chipotle, as the chain is the official partner of TEKKEN – and is launching a brand new digital exclusive TEKKEN 8 Battle Bowl, as voted on by fans.
After over 38,000 votes, here’s the official bowl order of the TEKKEN 8 Battle Bowl: Chicken, White Rice, Black Beans, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa, Fajita Veggies, Cheese, and Guac.
Sounds good! I don’t play TEKKEN, but I do play “eating delicious food” so I’ll probably try to partake in this digital exclusive.
In addition to the deal, which is available for everyone through the app online whether you play TEKKEN or not, the chain is also doing a bit of exchange with the in-game currency, TEKKEN coins. Here’s how it works, per info provided to Guilty Eats from Chipotle’s PR:
- With qualifying orders, players will receive a code for 500 TEKKEN Coins while supplies last.
- Chipotle Rewards members can also redeem 250 points in the Chipotle Rewards Exchange to receive an additional code for 500 TEKKEN Coins.
But wait, there’s more! Chipotle is also sponsoring the 2024 Chipotle Challenger Series, the first-ever branded tournament on the PlayStation Tournaments platform – and two winners will snag free Chipotle for a year, a trip to EVO, the “ultimate game fighting tournament,” part of a $20,000 cash prize which they will presumably spend on more Chipotle, and other prizes TBD.
For those of us who die instantly when playing fighting games, though, there’s still the delicious-sounding bowl, which is available for a limited time starting today.
