Crumbl is now testing a Key Lime Pie and we need to try it!
Crumbl may be known for their cookies, but they are clearly thinking outside of the cookie box. From trying out a Tres Leches Cake to their recent release of the Cinnamon Square, Crumbl seems to be branching out and trying new sweet treats.
And on March 14 (or Pi Day), the Snackolator Instagram account reported that Crumbl is currently testing a Key Lime Pie dessert in select locations across the country. While they have offered a Key Lime Pie cookie in the past, this is a real pie and not just a cookie.
According to the post, which included a quote from the brand directly, "It's not a cookie, it's a pie - a chilled key lime pie made with fresh lime zest and a buttery graham cracker crust, adorned with decorative whipped cream around the edges, and topped with a fresh lime slice."
Could we be seeing a Key Lime Pie at Crumbl locations in the near future?
If you are a fan of Key Lime Pie, then this has to be exciting news. I know plenty of people who love this pie, so this could be the perfect sweet treat to get them in the door of a Crumbl location. And considering the description of the treat is exactly what we expect from a more classic take on this pie flavor, we really hope that this test ends up working out and we get this pie at locations across the country.
Honestly, having Crumbl test out a real pie as a potential treat is exciting for anyone who enjoyed their recent non-cookie releases. It also means that if you aren't as big of a cookie lover, there may still be a treat for you in the bake shop.
We are really excited for a Key Lime Pie from Crumbl and hopefully this treat drops in stores pretty quickly after the test.
What do you think fellow foodies? Are you excited to give a Key Lime Pie from Crumbl a try?
