Crumbl is giving away cookie parties (and cash) for National Teacher Appreciation Day
Today, May 7, 2024, is National Teacher Appreciation Day. And what better way to celebrate than with a Crumbl cookie party? Granted, snagging Crumbl cookies for the whole school can get a little pricey, so good thing the chain is giving away a cash award and a Crumbl cookie party to a ton of lucky, totally awesome teachers.
Per PR sent to Guilty Eats from Crumbl, there were over 60,000 nominations for the Crumbl Teacher of the Year Award. Of those, one teacher from each state, the District of Columbia (aka Washington, D.C.), three mystery Canadian provinces, and Puerto Rico will be given the cash prize plus the cookie party. In case you can’t do the math, that means 55 teachers will be named Crumbl Teacher of the Year, while the other 59,945 will have to settle for just being absolutely awesome at their jobs and totally appreciated by parents, students, friends, and fellow faculty members.
Tell you what: appreciation doesn’t taste as good as cookies. But maybe that’s why I wasn’t nominated this year? Also I’m not a teacher, which was really working against me when it comes to nominations, to be honest.
Per a release provided to Guilty Eats on the nominations, Crumbl had this to say: “These teachers have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to their students, inspiring them to reach new heights and fostering a love for learning. Through this initiative, Crumbl seeks to shine a spotlight on these unsung heroes and celebrate their invaluable contributions to society. In recognizing these deserving educators, Crumbl extends its appreciation to all teachers for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication.”
The full winners list will be released on May 15, 2024, after the conclusion of National Teacher Appreciation Week, though the winners are being informed today and throughout this week, so it won’t be too much of a surprise once the 15th rolls around. Congratulations to all the winners, and also congratulations to anyone who just gets to show up to a Crumbl cookie party! The real lesson here is: be good at your job, and sometimes you get free cookies.
