As Maui says in Moana, the hit Disney film: consider the coconut. And you, just like Maui “The Rock” Johnson, will be considering coconuts starting this May when Dr Pepper releases their brand new sodas, Dr Pepper Coconut Cream, and  Dr Pepper Coconut Cream Zero Sugar.

The news comes via our friends over at FoodSided, and Dr Pepper himself (itself?) plugs that the bevvies are “creamy” per the name. “Savor the summer flavors with new, smooth, and refreshing Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut. Now available for a limited time!” touts the official website for the drink.

However, per USA Today, they are not now available: the new sodas will hit stores on May 1, according to the outlet, but should be available everywhere starting on that date. They also share that Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut "brings together the perfect combination of the original 23 Dr Pepper flavors with layers of tropical coconut flavor and a delicious, creamy finish."

And just to get in front of this: if you’re wondering, are they discontinuing Diet Dr Pepper? No, these new coconut flavors merely complement the existing lineup of beverages. That lineup includes [Bubba listing shrimp voice]: regular ol’ Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, Dr Pepper Zero Sugar, Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream, Dr Pepper Strawberries & Cream Zero Sugar, Dr Pepper Cherry Zero Sugar, Dr Pepper & Cream Soda Zero Sugar, Dr Pepper Cherry, Dr Pepper & Cream Soda, Caffeine Free Dr Pepper, Caffeine Free Diet Dr Pepper, Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper, Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper, and Dr Pepper Made With Real Sugar.

So there you go! Two more to add to your enormous pile of Dr Pepper, which I have just now learned doesn’t have a period after the “Dr” making me think that perhaps Dr Pepper isn’t a real doctor after all, and I should stop going to him (it?) for all my medical advice. He keeps prescribing “more Dr Pepper” and I keep getting worse, so I probably should have figured that out earlier anyway.
