Dunkin' gives back to the community once again with Iced Coffee Day
By Trey Weston
Iced coffee. Is there a better feeling than sipping on one in the summer while the aroma fills your nostrils? If this sounds like your summer dream, Dunkin' is bringing back Iced Coffee Day today while supporting a good cause.
This year, $1 from every iced coffee and cold brew sold at participating Dunkin' restaurants will be donated to the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation, meaning that every dollar spent is helping not just you feel more awake, but also kids in need.
"Dunkin' and the Joy in Childhood Foundation are once again calling on America to sip Iced Coffee for a great cause! As millions of children nationwide fight illnesses that no child should endure, we're deeply honored to bring a bit of joy to them and their loving families," said Victor Carvalho, Dunkin' Franchisee and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Dunkin' Joy in Childhood Foundation in a press release.
As far as the specifics of the foundation go -- it works to help bring the simple joys of childhood to kids battling illness or hunger. One way it provides these happy moments is through events throughout hospitals across the country, like joyful spaces.
If you're trying to cut back on sugary drinks, there is also another way that you can help the cause. Beginning today at Noon ET, Dunkin' will sell a limited edition iced coffee phone case on ShopDunkin.com for $15, with all proceeds going to the Dunkin' Joy Childhood Foundation.
Ultimately, this seems more rewarding than rounding up your total in the drive-thru window. It is an opportunity to help a group that needs our support more than ever: children.
Since the foundation began in 2006, Dunkin' has surpassed $50 million in grants distributed. Now, in 2024, they challenge their customers once again. Enjoy some delicious iced coffee and help today's youth to thrive and survive.
